Michelle began her career as a hairdresser over 30 years ago. She traveled to Denver, Colorado for a week to attend the Master Cutting School taught by Phillip Wilson, attended a cutting class from the late Gary Gerard, and was lucky enough to attend a hands on training in the Structure In Motion cutting technique by the owner and creator of Sexy Concepts, Michael O’Rourke.

Michelle has a special eye for color and has spent countless hours perfecting her Master Colorist title. She is deemed Master Colorist in the Goldwell line. Although we no longer carry some of these color lines she is also trained in Framesi™, Logics™, L’Oréal™, Redken™, and Inoa™.

Felicia
Level 4 Stylist &
Educator
Felicia has been in the beauty industry for 13 years and has loved every minute of it! Her focus is to make every woman in her chair feel as beautiful and comfortable as possible. She specializes in curly hair, dimensional color, Brazillian blowouts and advanced cutting, with an obsession for education.

Felicia is constantly learning new techniques and product knowledge to bring back to the chair, often finding herself watching video tutorials on anything and everything hair related. Felicia strives to educate herself and clients to provide beautiful hair at every visit.

Felicia's schedule is open for new color service clients on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you'd like to book an appointment with her, please send us an email letting us know what service you are interested in and we will get back to you with her soonest available appointment.
Rebecca
Level 4 stylisT
If you’re looking for a hairstylist who loves deep chats, laughing through random conversations, and advice about how to help your specific hair type you’ve found her! I’m happiest when I can connect with someone either through our love of food, kids, dogs or exploring the PNW. I am passionate about creating hair that works with your lifestyle. I love brainstorming on your hair dreams and goals as well as what is realistically possible. I am not easily offended and love to hear feedback from each appointment to learn what truly works best for you.

I am from the East Coast originally and have found my forever Salon home here in Des Moines. When I’m not working full time at Salon Michelle, I am either at a park or chilling at home with my fiancée, two boys, and dogs. I graduated from the Paul Mitchell school in Wichita in 2010.
I tailor each appointment to my clients needs and conversations are based off of your personality. I don’t mind having conversations from the second you walk in the door or if you’re more of a quiet person I will accommodate you as well. Katey
Level 2 stylist &
Pedicurist
Katey attended Gene Juarez Academy in 2018. After graduation, she started her work in Cosmetology at Gene Juarez salons as a colorist. In 2021, after the pandemic closures, she came to Salon Michelle to train under Michelle and to further her education as a stylist.

Katey has found her love in doing hair. She is especially talented with color. She is fun, talkative, and creative. She loves using her creative talent to come up with new and beautiful ways to use fashion colors. She also loves doing balayage.
Nicole graduated from Evergreen Beauty College in Renton. With 8 years of experience in the industry, she brings talent and a calming cool vibe to Salon Michelle. She worked as a barber at Rudy's before realizing that her true passion is transformational hairstyles for women.
Nicole was born and raised in Sammamish, Wa. but is excited to be a part of our community and all that is offered.
Nicole works Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. and offers online booking.
